Farmer’s Market
The Fishers Farmers Market is an outdoor market held rain or shine each Saturday morning from May through October. The Farmers Market features local vendors offering fresh produce, baked goods, specialty meats and cheeses, gourmet items, plants and flowers, and hand-crafted gifts. Family-friendly events are held during the Farmers Market throughout the season to add to the fun of the experience.
The Fishers Farmers Market takes place on the grounds of the Fishers Train Station and is run by the Fishers Chamber of Commerce. Many residents take advantage of the central location of the Farmers Market by making it an outing for the whole family—with the public library, Holland Park, and nearby restaurants and shops within walking distance, you can browse the market before heading out to other Saturday morning activities. Allen Williams’ wife Jan likes to head to the Farmers Market with her girlfriends to enjoy a cup of coffee and a fresh-baked cinnamon roll while stocking up on fresh organic produce. Reynolds Farm Equipment
Reynolds Farm Equipment is a Fishers icon. A.W. “Mac” Reynolds had been a local farmer all his life when he and his wife, Arline, opened their John Deere store, Reynolds Farm Equipment, in Fishers in 1955. Over the years, the Reynolds became known for supplying area farmers and homeowners with the most innovative and efficient farm and lawn equipment and service. The Reynolds’ belief has been to “treat every customer like a neighbor,” and through their community involvement they have stuck to that credo as Fishers has grown from a quiet farming community into a bustling suburb.
Every year, the Reynolds light up the Fishers’ sky on their 7-acre grounds with a Christmas lights show featuring custom, hand-made lighted figurines. The show is a drive-through extravaganza that is free to the public and generally runs from the week of Thanksgiving until January 1st.
